Papaiakovou Marina

Biography

Dr.Papaiakovou Marina received her bachelor's degree at 2011, from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics with degree 8.08 out of 10. Marina has just received her Master's in Biological Sciences (May 2015) from Smith College, working on a Gates project, developing a multiplex qPCR based diagnostic tool for STHs (soil transmitted helminths) that infect more than 2 billion people worldwide. Currently, she works as a Research Associate for the Filariasis unit at Smith College, being in charge for the material sent to the BEI/FR3 resources of the Filariasis division of NIH/NIAID.
