Nailya Akhtyamova was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Central Asia) and graduated from the National University of Uzbekistan in 1974. She worked as a microbiologist researcher at the Research Institute of Vaccine and Whey, Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Research Institute of Plant Pathology, Uzbekistan, Tashkent and Institute of Genetics and Plant Experimental Biology of Academy of Sciences, Uzbekistan, Tashkent. She received her Ph.D. degree in microbiology from the Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of Department of Health, Uzbekistan, 2001 and have been living in Sweden now.
