Nafees A Khan

Biography

Prof. Nafees A. Khan has received his PhD in 1988 from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh (INDIA). Currently, he is working as Professor of Plant Physiology in the Botany Department, AMU, Aligarh. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities in several capacities. His research focus is on understanding the mechanisms of hormonal and nutritional regulation of plant growth with special emphasis on abiotic stress vis-a-vis photosynthetic efficiency and abiotic stress tolerance. Based on this research he has received several awards and recognition. He is the Executive Editor, Journal of Functional and Environmental Botany, and serving as an expert Reviewers for many journals. He has authored more than 150 research articles and edited about a dozen books published by reputed publishers. He is a Life member of Academic professional bodies and Fellow of Indian Society for Plant Physiology and Indian Botanical Society.

Research Interest

Plant Physiology, Hormonal and nutritional regulation of plant growth with special emphasis on abiotic stress vis-a-vis photosynthetic efficiency and abiotic stress tolerance.
