Nabarun Dasgupta, MPH, PhD, is a quantitative epidemiologist who studies the use and nonmedical use of prescription opioid pain relievers and heroin. He has worked for diverse groups on reducing the adverse consequences of opioid use, including at the World Health Organization, non-profit organizations, local health departments, and the pharmaceutical industry.He earned his doctorate in epidemiology from the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on pharmacoepidemiology. He completed his undergraduate at Princeton University in molecular biology and received a master of public health degree from Yale University in the epidemiology of microbial diseases.
