Michael Aschner is working as a professor in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine USA. Michael Aschner obtained his B.S. degree from the University of Rochester (NY) in 1980, followed by his Ph.D. in Anatomy and Neurobiology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1985. He did postdoctoral fellowship in Toxicology, after which he took his first faculty position at Albany Medical College (NY) in the Department of Pharmacology (1988-1994).Then Michael Aschner joined the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC
