Van der Ven, Leo is working in the department of Pathology of the Laboratory of Toxicology of the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment of the Netherlands, we have developed a model of endocrine disruption using a partial life cycle assay with zebrafish. Histopathology and reproduction variables are the major endpoints. Histopathology results of effects of reference compounds (estrogen, anti-estrogen, androgen, anti-estrogen, anti-thyroid) (optimized for MSIE). Currently, the model is used to test possible endocrine disrupting effects of brominated flame retardants in a project on risk assessment of these compounds for the aquatic environment, supported by the European Union
