Oxford, UK. Koukourakis I Michael is working as a Professor of Medicine, Medical School at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and Head in the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, Greece. Research Interest

• Clinical trials in cytoprotection, radiosensitization of tumors, chemotherapy and novel molecular agent combination with radiotherapy for the treatment of cancer patients.
• Translational research on the role of hypoxia and angiogenesis in the resistance of cancer to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
• Tumor metabolism and recognition of metabolic pathways targets for the development of pharmacological therapeutic approaches
