Koji Mikami

Biography

Dr. Koji Mikami has received his PhD in the Faculty of Sciences, Hokkaido University. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University. His research has included physiology and molecular biology of seaweeds and green plants. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: Best Paper Awards from the journal, Marine Biotechnology. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like the Journal of Coastal Life Medicine and The Scientific World Journal. He has authored ca. 90 research articles. He is a member of Japanese Society of Scientific Fisheries, Japanese Society of Applied Phycology, Japanese Society of Fish Genetics and Breeding Science, Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists, Botanical Soc. of Japan and Molecular Biology Society of Japan.
