Jens Reimer

Biography

Jens Reimer is working as Professor and Director of Centre for Interdisciplinary Addiction Research at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Jens Reimer studies include Studies of human medicine at the Universities of Essen, Zimbabwe, Antalya (TR), Barbados and he was Researcher and medical resident in the Center for Internal Medicine, Departments of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Nephrology, at the University Hospital Essen. Jens Reimer completed his Doctorate at the University of Essen with the work in the medicine Psychological implications in patients with malignant uveal melanoma after Radioapplikatortherapie - with particular emphasis on quality of life. He has been Researcher at the Neurological Clinic of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, St. Josef Hospital and has was a Research Associate at the CIS as well as in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the UKE, training for medical psychotherapists on Ernst-Adolf-Meyer Institute Hamburg. He was Medical doctor (depth psychology), Adolf-Ernst-Meyer Institute, Hamburg and Specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Medical Association of Hamburg. Since 2010 Jens Reimer is Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Addiction Research (ZIS), University of Hamburg and Director of the workspace Addiction Medicine and dependent behavior in the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and Awarded the title of professor "by the University of Hamburg in 2011. Since 2011 Jens Reimer is Board Centre for Healthcare Research, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf
