Biography
Dr. Casteel is a Research Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (UNC). She is also core faculty with the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center. Her primary area of research has focused on occupational violence among high-risk populations in the retail, health care and education sectors. In these areas, she has conducted etiologic research, intervention and policy evaluations, and more recently, translational research. Dr. Casteel also has a primary research path in home safety, specifically older adult falls prevention.
