Brian D. Nordmann

Biography

Brian D. Nordmann is the Director of the Office of Verification and Transparency Technologies, in the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance at the U.S. Department of State, responsible for finding technological solutions to most pressing arms control issues. He was previously the Director of the Office of Biological Weapons Affairs, focusing on biosecurity and biosafety issues.  He has an MS in Public Administration with an emphasis in International Relations from Troy State University and an AB in Communication and Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Nordmann is a member of the Senior Executive Service.
