Biomedical Lab Biosafety

The term “biosecurity” has multiple definitions.Eye and face protection (goggles, mask, face shield or other splash guard) is used for anticipated splashes or sprays of infectious or other hazardous materials. In the animal industry, the term biosecurity relates to the protection of an animal colony from microbial contamination.Safety measures applied to the handling of biologic materials or organisms with a known potential to cause disease in humans.
