Biography

Dr. Avram Cooperman is a board certified surgeon and part-time faculty member at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in the Department of Surgery.He specializes in Surgical Oncology with a special interest in disorders of Pancreas and gall bladder. Dr. Cooperman received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed a 5 year residency in general surgery, including one year of research in liver transplantation and organ preservation, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Cooperman also served in the Military at the USAF Regional Hospital in Sheppard AFB, Texas for three years.
