Michelle V. Carle

Biography

Dr. Michelle V. Carle is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment and surgery of vitreo-retinal diseases. A native Canadian, Dr. Carle received her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine with special training in research from the University of Alberta, Canada. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Alberta. She then completed fellowship training at the Retina-Vitreous Associates Medical Group in Los Angeles. Dr. Carle has extensive research experience in the field of ocular genetics, neuroscience, and retinopathy. She received the Reg Martiniuk Award for Clinical Research. Dr. Carle has had a number of articles and presentations published on retinal research related to macular degeneration.
