The presentation will offer a high-level overview of the outcome of treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in children in Pakistan, including the major cause of disease, effects of the disease in society, mortality and morbidity rates in the past decade, existing treatment guidelines, and quality of treatment. Since Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia effect a child�??s physical as well as mental health, we intend to walk through some of the best practices that Pakistan can implement from the developed countries to aid in improving the current cancer treatment processes and governance. The last part of the presentation will highlight the contribution of Shukat Khanum Memorial Hospital in treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Aroog completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore - Pakistan in 2015. Presently, she works at the Hussain Memorial Hospital in Dijkot (a rural area near the city of Faisalabad in Pakistan) as a Dental Surgeon. She has also published an article in a journal on TMPDS (Temporo Mandibular Dysfunction Syndrome) in 20XX. She continues her professional development by participating in diverse workshops and training programs related to her areas of interest.
