Biography

ShengSuan Victor Cai received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at China Agricultural University in 1984 and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Analytical Chemistry at Washington State University in 1996. Currently he is working as a Senior Application Scientist in Syagen Technology Inc wwwsyagencom an analytical instrument company located in Tustin California. His current research interest is development of APPI based LCMS/MS method for analysis of a wide range of small molecules such as pharmaceuticals lipids steroids vitamins pesticides PAHs and other environmental pollutants Since joining Syagen in 2003 Mr Cai has authored about a dozen of journal research articles describing APPI technique for LCMS/MS analysis of lipids PAHs and pharmaceutical. He has served as a peer reviewer for several scientific journals including ACS Analytical Chemistry Journal of Chromatography A European Elsevier journal Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry European John Wiley Sons journal and Food Chemistry European Elsevier journal etc. He is a member of American Chemical Society ACS and American Society for Mass Spectrometry ASMS
