Biography

Dr Maureen Brookes is a Reader in Marketing and a Teaching Fellow within the Oxford School of Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University. She is the Immediate Past President of EuroCHRIE, the hospitality and tourism subject association for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME); is a member of the Institute of Hospitality\\s Professional Review Panel and a Director of Oxford Gastronomica, a specialist centre for the study of food, drink and culture.Maureen has previously served as the Hospitality Liaison Officer for the UK\\s Higher Education Academy\\s Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism (HLST) Network.Her research and journal publications are on franchising andplural organisations, covering diverse topics such as partner selection, entrepreneurship, relational development and knowledge transfer. Pedagogic publications have encompassed internationalisation, personalisation, the use of podcasting and quality management in higher education.
