Biography

Dipti Yashwantrao Sorte, is a Associate Professor and Head of Department, Child Health Nursing, at Himalayan College of Nursing, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant, Dehradun 248140. In 1995 completed Diploma in Nursing (GNM Course), thereafter he worked in clinical area for 3yrs. Then he joined Buccalaurette course (Post Basic B Sc Nursing) in 1998 and completed in 2000, After that he worked 1year as Assistant Operation Room supervisor, Thereafter He changed him from clinical to teaching and joined in Vimochana school of nursing Athni Karnataka state as Clinincal instructor, after one year he changed his job and joined as Nursing lecturer in JGCH College of Nursing. After 3yrs of experience he Post Graduation in nursing (M Sc Nursing – Pediatric specialty) in Bharati Vidyapeeth, pune Maharashtra state. Thereafter he joined as Associate professor in Himalayan College of Nursing, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) since 2009 till the today.

He has published 16 Research Article in Internation journals, and few are in pipeline projects. He has conducted many workshop with Indian Academy of pediatrics to improve the skills of nurses in Neonatal resuscitation. He is a member of Academic council, Swami Rama Himalayan University. He also a chairperson of membership committee TNAI (Trained nurses association of India) Utterakhand branch. He worked as Practical Examiner in child health nursing for PG & UG students in various universities of north India. He is interested in finance subject and also teaching the Health economics for Nursing Diploma students. Currently he started the project to assess the financial literacy among nurses working in hospitals, also helps the faculty of same college in there personal financial management. He prepares the teaching workload for entire college faculty. He was speaker in various national and international confreneces.
