Ling Zhao

Biography

Dr. Zhao obtained her Ph.D. from Peking University in 2010. She received her Postdoctoral training in Shiley Eye Center at the University of California, San Diego from 2010-2014. Currently, she is a Principal Investigator in State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Zhao uses genetics to guide mechanism studies and design therapies for human vision diseases, especially for age-related blindness. Dr. Zhao has published more than 20 peer reviewed papers in journals including Nature, Molecular Cell, Diabetes, Experimental Eye Research, Cell Death & Disease, and Aging Cell.
