Biography
Anne Van Kleeck retired from the School of Behavioral & Brain Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas in 2019. Her work focuses primarily on preschool oral language foundations for later literacy development. She has developed an award winning conceptual framework for the various aspects of academic language, in which she argues for the importance of focusing on these skills in the preschool years, particularly with preschoolers at risk for later academic difficulties (van Kleeck, 2014, AJSLP). Author skills and expertise in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Language Acquisition, Language Development, Language Disorders, Cognitive Development.
Research Interest

Socialization, assessment, and intervention, both in children who are typically developing and those with language disorders.
