HAITHAM NOBANEE

Biography

I am an associate professor of finance with valuable experience in assurance of learning and program accreditation (AASCB) working at the College of Business Administration, Abu Dhabi University, UAE and The University of Liverpool Management School, UK. I have received my doctorate degree from the University of Manchester. I am an author of several publications of international refereed journals. I am also serving the academic community as an editor, associate editor, guest editor, and member of editorial board of various international refereed journals. I am also a reviewer of many international journals including Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Business Research, and Applied Economic Series. I have presented papers and served in several international conferences as conference chair, keynote and honor speaker and honored guest, editor of conference proceedings, track chair, member of scientific committees, reviewer and discussant of conference papers. I have won the best reviewer award of Applied Economic Series for the year 2011. My research interests include anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing, working capital management, and stock market microstructure, financial reporting and disclosures, Islamic finance and banking, oil prices and economic development.
