Abstract :

Weightlifter developed sudden dimness of vision after exercise with visual acuity in right eye HM and in left eye CF 1ft, Goldmann applanation tonometer in both eyes were 34 mmHg with anti-glaucoma medications. Slit lamp examination of both eyes showed cornea-edematous, pupil-S/D, R/L sluggish, pigment on corneal endothelium and on clear lens. Gonioscopyopen angle with increased pigmentation, Fundus-C:D RE-0.8, LE-0.85. B scan-WNL,ASOCT-concave configuration of iris. Patient was treated with ocular hypotensive medications and YAG PI in BE which decreased concave configuration of iris. Visual acuity improved to RE-6/6, LE-6/9, BE: GAT-14mmHg, HFA 10-2-advanced glaucomatous damage, CCT-598�?µ, OCT RNFL thickness RE-75�?µ, LE- 64�?µ. Planning for trabeculectomy with MMC in BE. Weightlifter need to remain cautious especially having Pigment dispersion syndrome or pigmentary glaucoma, should undergo regular ophthalmic checkup.
