Abstract :

Aim: Aim of this study is the evaluation of effectiveness of early diagnosis using â??Plusoptix A-09â? system in children with refractive disorders. Materials & Methods: A total of 110 children (220 eyes) were studied; 72 (65.4%) were boys and 38 (34.6%) were girls. The median age was of 1 to 10 years. Patients were subdivided into the following groups: myopia-23 eyes (20.09%), myopic astigmatism-13 eyes (11.81%), hyperopia-38 eyes (34.5%), hyperopic astigmatism-26 eyes (23.06%) and mixed astigmatism-11 eyes (10%). The study was conducted in patients on the unit â??Plusoptix A-09â? with a narrow pupil, and performed with a wide skiascopy pupil. Results: Clinical refraction in children surveyed groups on this unit corresponded investigated using skiascopy. The discrepancy between the results and autorefractometry skiascopy was 0.5-1.0 D in different age groups. Conclusion: The use of pediatric contactless autorefractometry â??Plusoptix A-09â? is a convenient, accurate way to determine the clinical refraction of the eye at the children's children. lamiya_dr@mail.ru
