Abstract :

The clinical trial industry has been moving forward in rapid leaps in the past decade, and indeed there are many disruptive technology game-changers that are helping drive this trend. Some case-studies will be used for this talk to illustrate the learning and insights that can be derived by tapping into the innovative methods that have been used by success stories. Successful models have tapped into partnerships between the various stake-holders: Patients, patient-groups and how they have played a role in shaping the way CTs are conducted, E-data organizations and hand-held BYOD solution providers who withstood initial skepticism. Governments, insurance companies, NGOs and funding agencies who aligned themselves to the need for focusing on specific areas, medium to large CROs and SMOs who used the tools to consistently deliver on-time and on-budget. Regulators that are partnered with one another and with industries to facilitate better coordination and smooth processing of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies have consistency in delivering innovation.
