Background and Aims: • Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) should be taken as a serious disease with potentially long-term consequences for the children and their parents and families. The survival of premature and low birth weight babies with modern and effective neonatal care increases the incidence of ROP. • We are talking about the management of ROP which continues to change as we gain further understanding of the disease with the advent of new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, and recent studies in preventing this disease.
