Nose surgery: The real beauty added to the face in one single step

Abstract :

Currently there are 3 points of attention during a social chat in the human beings conversational relationships (social, communication): Eyes (size, symmetry, color, orientation and adjacent structures as eyelids and eyelashes), teeth (alignment, size, color) and nose (shape, symmetry harmonious balance with the rest of the face size and other features and relation in between wide, length and size). Of the three mentioned features, just one is related or historically linked with the elegance and reputation of an individual in society: The nose. It says much about her or his race and social status as much as his interaction with nature or human beings (trauma) or even a familiar distinctive feature. This is why more than 60% of the social sight during conversation in between individuals comes along with the nose as a â�?�?key pointâ�? in the current social interaction. As a Plastic Surgeon and related specialties, we have a very high responsibility to understand this role in the peopleâ�?�?s self-image and the results of an appropriate access to a planned anatomical modification, even major or minor, it has to meet this three basic and important components: To be safe (nose is physiological respiratory purposes and none wants to feel being in risk of losing function or even life due to a cosmetic procedure; To be natural, it means the results of our clinical/surgical interaction has to be more with the patientâ�?�?s personality enhancement than to reproduce or made a â�?�?copy of a standardized moldâ�? giving the same improntative hape to every client sit on our waiting room at the office; and To be longlasting: A good surgical experience has ideally come from one and only procedure and last for a long time, if not forever (depending on the continuous cartilage growing due to normal aging). This presentation is designed to give the basis of a good clinical/surgical planning, techniqueâ�?�?s selection and proper care of the nose we are dealing with at the time we try to call it Rhinoplasty. We present our surgical technique and experience over 18 years and more than 1,200 procedures performed in our current medical practice as Certified Plastic Surgeon in Hospital del Prado in Tijuana, Mexico. We can ultimately consider the nose as a facial ornament or even a â�?�?trade markâ�? of our ethnic background which gives a lot of information mainly related with our social role in the community we are living. People considered in every society along history as â�?�?prettyâ�?, cannot fill this expectation without a perfect nose, because the visual data this irradiates comes along fully related with the word grace.
