Abstract :

Management of presbyopia is the ultimate goal of ophthalmologists worldwide. The objective of its different procedures is to allow the patient to focus on near objects while retaining the ability to focus on far objects, taking into account the refractive errors of the eye when the treatment is performed. There are various surgical techniques to manage presbyopia including scleral surgeries as scleral expansion bands, lenticular surgeries as multifocal IOLs or accommodative IOLs and corneal surgeries as conductive keratoplasty, intracorneal inlays and multifocal presbyopic LASIK. The science of PresbyLASIK is evolving and standards for studies on presbyLASIK also need to be developed much. A prospective study of 30 patients (60 eyes) with defocus error of +0.5 D or more with reading addition up to +2.5D was done. LASIK, with new PresbyMAX profile with Schwind Amaris Excimer Laser system was done.
