To develop the methods to facilitate the analysis of soil microbial communities evaluating the use of cellular fatty acid profiles have been performed as to rapidly characterize a method and fungal isolates are differentiated. When standard morphological methods are compared with this approach significantly requires taxonomic expertise to characterize unknown isolates in less time.
