Dr. Yasser Refaat Farid is Practicing orthopedic oncology and complex reconstructive surgeries including revision arthroplasty and treatment of infected total joints (2010). O-1 status as an "Alien of Extraordinary Ability and achievements" granted by the U.S Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service (2002). A grant awarded by "The Center for Preservation and Transplantation of Musculoskeletal Tissues" of Cairo University and "The Arab Monetary Fund for Development" to conduct a clinical and research fellowship in orthopedic oncology at Harvard University, USA (2000). Academic award of "excellence with honors" in basic and clinical medical sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University (1994).
Orthopedic Oncology including pelvic and extremity tumors, soft tissue tumors and metastatic disease of bone. Adult Reconstructive Surgery especially revision arthroplasty and treatment of infected prosthetic joints. Traumatology especially pelvic and acetabular fractures.
