Dr. Wei Li received his PhD degree in State Key Laboratory of Virology, Wuhan University, China. He has been working as a postdoctoral research scientist at Stanford University School of Medicine from Sep 2009 to May 2013. He was awarded the Stanford CHRI fellowship ($50,000/yr) and Oak Foundation Fellowship ($125,000/yr) during his postdoctoral research. Currently he is an Investigator in Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Shanghai, China. His research is now focused on the next-generation sequencing and epigenetic studies of heart diseases, cancers, muscle regenerations, and infectious diseases. His works were published on several peer-reviewed journals, including J Virol, PLoS ONE, Eur J Immuno, J Immunology, Cardiovasc Res, PNAS, Dev Cell, etc.
Research interests are very broad, including the medical virology, developmental biology, heart diseases, cardiovascular medicine, cancers, muscle regenerations, and epigenetic related studies, etc.
