Biography

Dr. Terry Brandebourg is currently being employed as Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture at Auburn University. After completing his B.S. from Purdue University, he moved to Oregon State University to carry out his research. Dr. Terry also completed his post-doc from University of Cincinnati Medical Center. In his academic career his main focus was on Growth and Development in Animals. His current research program focuses on the growth and development of adipose tissue. To carry out these experiments, techniques mostly utilized in this regard are cell culture models and molecular biology techniques to address growth-related issues in both animals and in humans.

Research Interest

Dr. Terrys research interest lies in the general failure of meat animals to reach their potential for growth and the emergence of obesity as a global health epidemic.
