Biography

Dr. Randhir Deo is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the College of Natural & Applied Sciences at University of Guam. Dr. Deo graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology in 1997. He received his Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2000 from University of the South Pacific, Fiji. He then moved to United States where he completed his second Master’s in 2004 and a Ph.D. in 2005, both in Chemistry, from New Mexico State University. His Ph.D. thesis was titled “Novel electrodes for electrochemical detection”. Prior to joining University of Guam, Dr. Deo was Postdoctoral Research Associate at Arizona State University, where he worked on inter-disciplinary research for predicting the fate and designing cleanup strategies of environmental contaminants.
