Rajiv Mohan is a Professor of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, USA, and holds a joint appointment as a biomedical scientist at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital. He has authored 90 peer-reviewed research articles and over 180 abstracts. Dr. Mohan’s cutting edge research has received numerous prestigious national and international awards and focuses on corneal gene therapy, corneal wound healing, refractive laser surgery (PRK, LASIK), and corneal scarring and angiogenesis. His gene therapy and nanomedicine studies utilizing AAV and nanoparticle vectors demonstrated the potential of gene therapy for corneal diseases, and were identified by the world’s largest eye research organization, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) as one of the “newest and most innovative” projects during 2010 and 2011. Dr. Mohan serves in Editorial Board of many journals and Co-Chair ARVO Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine section.
