Dr. Rajender (RAJ) Varma, obtained his PhD from Delhi University in 1976. After postdoctoral positions at Robert Robinson Laboratories, University of Liverpool, UK, he was a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine, Senior Scientist at Houston Advanced Research Center, and Research Professor at Sam Houston State University prior to joining as senior scientist in the Sustainable Technology Division at US Environmental Protection Agency in 1999. He has ~310 scientific peer-reviewed publications in the areas of expertise, several books and book chapters; ~ 300 papers presented in national and international meetings, and have been awarded 9 US Patents.
