Medical degree, Classic University of Lisbon; Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (DTM&H), Royal College of Physicians, London; MSc Medical Parasitology, University of London (LSHTM) and PhD in Medical Entomology, University of London (ICSTM). Researcher and teacher in Medical Entomology and Parasitology and Coordinator of the MSc in Medical Parasitology of the IHMT/ UNL. Invited teacher in University of Oporto, University of Algarve, Faculdade Ciências e Tecnologia/ UNL, Faculdade de Veterinária/ UTL, Instituto de Ciências Sociais e Políticas/ UTL and Faculdade de Ciências/ UL.
