This is Dr. Narayan Chandra Paul, an Agriculture Scientist-working as a Research Associate at Bioenergy Crop Research Institute, National Institute of Crop Science, Rural Development Administration, Republic of Korea. After completing my undergraduate program from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh; I came in Chungnam National University-one of the most prestigious public universities in Korea to pursue my MS and PhD majoring in Plant Pathology & Plant Cell Technology. After successful completion of my PhD, I started my postdoc at the same University (Plant Pathology Lab.). I have postdoc experience in several other institutions-Chonnam National University (Environmental Microbiology Research Lab.), National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Sciences, RDA (Plant Pathology & Biotechnology Lab.), Korea. Now I am working on sweet potato viral disease detection and virus free seed stalk production along with fungal disease detection.
Major achievements: 1) Participated actively to discover 5 new fungal species from different plant hosts 2) Awarded Best Scientist Award 2017: Post Doctoral Category/NICS, RDA, Korea
