Manfred Binder received his PhD from the University of Regensburg (Germany) in 2000. He accepted a Research Scientist position in the Biology Department at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 2012, he moved to the Netherlands to join the CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre in Utrecht.
