Dr. Luciana “Lucy” Bergamasco is an Instructor at the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She grew up in Italy (Torino) and obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Torino, then her PhD in Neurological Sciences at the Medical School, University of Torino. Since 1996 she was Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Torino. In 2006 she and her family moved to Kansas State University where she was a Research Assistant Professor of neurophysiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine. For the last 20 years, Lucy has been actively involved in the academia.
Neurophysiological indicators of pain in livestock, animal welfare,electroencephalography in companion animals.
