Dr. Habib Khoudi graduated from the National Institute of Agronomy of Tunisia in 1989. He obtained his Ph.D. in plant biology (Molecular farming: Production of monoclonal antibodies in plants) from LAVAL University, Canada, in 1998 and took up a postdoctoral position at university of Western Ontario, Canada and a research scientist position at University of Québec at Trois Rivières, Canada. In 2006, he joined the Laboratory of Plant Protection and Improvement at the Center of Biotechnology of Sfax and he is currently focusing his research on the improvement of abiotic stress tolerance in plants mainly wheat, barley and tomato. He is also working on phytoremediation of industrial wastes and biofortification of crops.
