George Gregory Buttigieg KM, MD, LRCP(End.), MRCS (Lond.), Dip.FP, MA, FRCOG, FRCPI, KGCOM, is a prominent and senior personality in Maltese Obstetrics and Gynaecology at both clinical and academic levels. Although NHS retired, George still practices privately and his commitment to Academia has greatly increased to almost full-time. A founder member of the Maltese College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Malta, he has also sat on innumerable important boards, including the Malta Medical Council, the Chair of the RCOG overseas committee of Malta, the European Boards of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and numerous others. He also serves as Court expert and he is also a medical expert for the Catholic Church’s Tribunal for annulment in Malta, where he also lectures.
