Dr. Francesco Buonocore has received his PhD in 1993 at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo (Italy), Department of Agrobiology and Agrochemistry, after a three years project with a thesis entitled: “Biochemical and genetic studies on high molecular weight glutenin subunits involved in wheat quality”. From February 1995 to February 1996 he was at the Long Ashton Research Station, Long Ashton (Bristol), University of Bristol (UK), Department of Cell Biology, with a one year EC post-doctoral grant (programme AIR: “Agriculture and Agro-Industries”, contract n. AIR1-CT-94-6374 ). From September 1996 to March 2001 he was working as research technician, in the University of Tuscia, Department of Environmental Sciences. From March 2001 until now he is lecturer and full researcher in the Zoology and Marine Biotechnology group of the University of Tuscia, Department of Environmental Sciences. He has authored about 60 papers on international journals and 5 book chapters. He his member of the International Society of Developmental and Comparative Immunology (ISDCI), of the European Society for Marine Biotecnology (ESMB) and of the Fisheries Society of the British Isles.
