Dr. Dhavendra Kumar Graduated in Medicine (MBBS) and MD (Pediatrics) from the King George’s Medical College, University of Lucknow, India. Since 1980 pursued a career in Medical Genetics in the UK. Board certified clinical geneticist (DABMG) and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics (FACMG); other Fellowships- Royal Colleges of Physicians of London (FRCP); Ireland (FRCPI) & Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). Current clinical role- Consultant in Clinical Genetics, University Hospital for Wales, Cardiff, UK; Academic roles- Adjunct Professor to the Genomic Policy Research Unit at the School of Health, Sport and Science, the University of Glamorgan, UK and Chinese Capital Medical University, Beijing, China.
