Biography

Dr. Dharani K Ajithdoss received his DVM degree from Madras Veterinary College India in 2000 his MS in microbiology from College of Veterinary Science Hyderabad India in 2002 and his PhD in virology from Texas AM University in 2009. He joined the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology Texas AM University in 2009 where he currently is an assistant lecturer. His duties include participation in pathology residency program teaching pathology to veterinary students and participation in collaborative research. He authored and coauthored 12 peerreviewed research articles 14 conference abstracts 2 nonpeerreviewed papers and one book chapter. He has been serving as a reviewer for many peerreviewed journals. He is a member of C L Davis foundation for the advancement of veterinary pathology and American Association for Avian Pathologists. He received Richard B Rimler Memorial Paper Award Texas Broiler Council Endowed Graduate Fellowship Environmental and Safety award and National Merit Scholarship.

Research Interest

Molecular biology of viruses, antiviral mechanisms, viral pathogenesis, pathology of domestic animals, and neuropathology.
