Clyde B.Schechter

Biography

Dr. Clyde B. Schechter is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I enrolled in the General Preventive Medicine & Public Health residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. There I met Mike Mulvihill, currently Director of this Department’s Research Division, and began to transform myself into an epidemiologist/bio-statistician. I stayed on at Mount Sinai in a career path that blended a modest amount of research with heavy doses of teaching and educational administration. While there I ultimately became the Department of Community Medicine’s Director of Medical Education, with responsibility for all of that Department’s teaching programs: required courses for first and fourth-year medical students, two residency programs, and a Master’s degree.
