Biography

In 2005, I graduated as a bioengineer from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. Afterwards, I completed, in 2009, a PhD in the Faculty of Sciences at ULB in the field of Computational Biology. I developed computational models for the dynamics of the network of cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdk) driving the cell cycle. I have also studied the coupling between the cell cycle and the circadian clock in mammals. For the last three years, I have continued my research as a postdoctoral researcher at ULB and at the University of Oxford where I am currently a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Biochemistry. I am working on a quantitative model for the Cdk network driving the cell cycle in yeast.

Research Interest

Dr. Claude Gerard Research interests includes cell cycle, circadian rhythms, biological oscillations, temporal dynamics & robustness of biological processes.
