Research Interest

• Study protein conformations and protein-ligand interactions by novel Mass Spectrometry (MS) methodologies. In particular, provide insights in the protein aggregation processes involved in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), with an emphasis on discovering novel molecules of natural origin and/or semi-synthetic analogues thereof possessing anti-neurodegenerative properties.
• Pharmacokinetic, Bioavailability Studies of drugs and bioactive compounds.
• Structure elucidation of bioactive compounds derived from plants, and their potential exploitation towards the development of new and innovative pharmaceuticals and other therapeutic substances.
