  Exercise-Mediated Immune Protection in Chronic Kidney Disease Decreases Infection and Severe Evolution of COVID-19

  It is constantly sought to understand the different mechanisms of action of the immune system to establish potential efficient therapeutic targets for different clinical situations. Thus, the present study aims to expand the knowledge about the protective effect of physical exercise on the immune system of patients with chronic renal failure, associating it with the incidence of infection by COVID-19. The present study was based on a narrative systematic review of the literature and understands, elucidate, and discuss the subject. The main result found was that regular, moderate-intensity exercise modulates immunological parameters in CKD patients, evidenced by decreased inflammatory factors such as Interleukin-1β (IL-1β), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Interleukin-18 (IL-18) and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNFα), and increased Interleukin-10 (IL-10) and..
