Dr Xie's major research interest is cancer and viral immunology. Currently, his lab is attempted to develop tumor vaccines for human hepatocellular carcinoma using fusion-based biotechnology. Dr Xie is also studying the immunogenicity of viruses in human and animal infectious diseases, such as swine foot-and-mouth disease (sFMD) and human papillomavirus (HPV).
