He is an assistant professor in the School of Energy Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. He obtained B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (2007) from Jiamusi University, Jiamusi, China, M.Sc. in 2009 Municipal and Environmental Engineering (2009) and Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Engineering (2013) both from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. Dr. Zhang worked as a Visiting Scholar (2011-2012) and a Post-Doctoral Fellow (2013) in the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science, Faculty of Engineering, Dalhousie University. Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. Zhang is working closely with the biomass industry and has supervised and co-supervised a number of graduate students. He has 16 refereed papers in several International Journals and 3 conference presentations.
Energy (including Energy production and management, characterization of biomass, pyrolysis and gasification of biomass, production of biogas) and the area of Thermodynamic (including energy, exergy, and entropy related to materials, systems, and heat and mass transfer processes).
