Svetlana Rechitsky

Biography

 Dr. Svetlana Rechitsky received her PhD in Experimental Molecular Embryology in 1986. She moved to Reproductive Genetics Institute in 1989, where she heads DNA laboratory, which pioneered polar body-based PGD in 1990, and has performed the largest PGD series for single gene disorders, with PGD design for the majority of them developed for the first time. She published more than 70 papers in the field of PGD, including her key contribution to both editions of “Practical Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis”, published by Reproductive Genetics Institute. She is the author of the Third Edition of “Atlas of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis”. Dr. S.Rechitsky is a President and PGD/IVF Laboratory Director at Reproductive Genetic Innovations (RGI), President of PGDIS and clinical professor at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
